It is absolutely imperative that your puppy be kept safe until they have received all of their vaccinations. This means that your puppy must not be taken to the dog park, pet store or any other public place until ALL vaccines are received and your veterinarian has given you the green light. Hypoglycemia In Puppies
Although it seems like common sense, it is imperative that a new puppy eats when he enters his or her new home. Sometimes this is easier said than done. It is very typical for a puppy to get car sick on the way home. This coupled with a complete change of environment can cause a puppy stress and cause him or her to completely lose their appetite. This can cause a snowball effect, and cause even healthy pups to get hypoglycemic or low blood sugar.
